How do I become a member of the Church of Christ?

If a person is not a Christian, you must come to belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God. You must repent of your sins. (John 8:24)

This does not mean that you'll be perfect, but you will strive to cease sinful activity and strive to defeat sin in your life. (Colossians 2:5~9)

You must confess that Jesus Christ is the son of God. (Matthew 10:32) and you must be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of your sins. (Romans 6:3~5 Mark 15:15~16) This can be done anytime, day or night. It does not have to take place in a church service. We seek to what the scriptures says and in the scriptures people acted on their faith regardless of the day or hour.

When you have done these things, God add you to the Church. (Act 2:47) You become a member of the universal church and God has added you to the body of believers at Alvaton. It is important that you align yourself with a church, because God calls you to his family, the body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12~14)

If you are interested in becoming a Christian, please let someone in the church know of your desires. If you have any questions concerning this subject please call our minister, Randy Wells at 270-796-9101. Email alcofc@bellsouth.net
